TRUTH4YOUTH

The project “TRUTH4YOUTH: Enhancing media literacy and critical thinking of young people to counter (climate) disinformation” is a two-year initiative under the EU CERV (Citizens’ Engagement and Participation) program, coordinated by the French organization La Maison de l’Europe des Landes (WIPSEE). The general objective of the project is to strengthen young people’s capacity to become resilient digital citizens and active defenders of democratic values by equipping them with the skills, tools, and spaces needed to critically recognize, counter, and prevent climate misinformation and online disinformation across Europe.
The project covers the following main topics:
- Digital citizenship and Democratic Engagement;
- Climate Misinformation & Online Disinformation;
- Digital Resilience & Critical Thinking;
- Youth Empowerment & Capacity Building;
First international project event
The first international project event took place in Florence, Italy from 27 to 31 March 2026. Experts of the 15 partner organizations, including two representatives of VVI Foundation, gathered in a working group, co-developing a Modular Empowerment Framework and Stakeholder Map and other important strategic documents for the project that will feature a series of international training and learning events followed by local activities on the project topic.
