With the first of the four transnational meetings and youth exchanges, the work on the "S.P.A.M. (Smart Phones Are Mind-blowing)" Project, under Key Acttion 2 of the Erasmus+ Program, has begun. In September 2018, a Bulgarian group of participants, comprised of representatives of the "Values, Virtues, Integrity" Foundation and the 55th “Petko Karravlenov” Secondary School in Sofia, visited the city of Tartu, Estonia. There, with colleagues from partner organizations from Estonia and Iceland, the first project activities started, including an analysis of the problem of overuse of smart devices by children and adults, visits to youth centers offering leisure time alternatives, discussion at the target local school, as well as visits to the so called “escape rooms”, the National Museum of Estonia, and other local cultural and architectural landmarks. The next project meeting and youth exchange will be held in Bulgaria at the end of February, 2019.
